Tethered Balloon Rides
Tethered balloon rides offer you the opportunity to get acquainted with the sights and sounds of ballooning without actually leaving the Fairgrounds!
If the winds are light enough in the late morning or afternoon, pilots may setup 150' ropes and give tethered rides. The rides usually lift off on 5 minute cycles.

Price is $10.00 per person, any age
Children that cannot see over the edge of the basket with their feet on the floor are restricted. You cannot hold your child above the rail for obvious reasons.
Balloons usually do not fly and are rarely able to inflate for tethered operations at midday because of thermal instability due to the sun's heating. Gusty and unpredictable wind conditions are often encountered then. However, sometimes the weather does cooperate - in those cases tethered balloon rides will be available.
